We have been contacted by a student who has been using photo editing software called Affinity Photo and Affinity Designer. They wanted us to share some links to the software’s website in case other students were interested in using it.
Although not free, the software isn’t subscription based either. A one-time fee can be paid for the full licence which entitles free updates. Anyone can download a free trial of the full version. What’s more, there are lots of video tutorials on the website; everything from the workspace intro to advanced features. A hard cover official tutorial book is also available. The links to the Affinity products and downloads are as follows for those who are interested.
Affinity Photo for desktop:

If you are a student and you would like to contribute to our blog please do get in touch. Perhaps you would like to write about your work, talk about art techniques, perhaps or you use specific software you would like to tell us about or art materials you enjoy using. We would be delighted to hear from you. Email techsupport@londonartcollege.co.uk at any time.
