In this Weekend Art Challenge, we would love for you to explore the graceful and dynamic world of ballet dancers by capturing their essence on paper or canvas. You have free reign on how you go about this, whether you create a piece on two dancers together, one in motion, one in a dance studio with mirrors behind, or in full ballet attire in a theatre. The choice in yours. Try to capture their elegance and think about the colours you might like to use that would work with this theme and the feelings behind your piece.
Remember to have fun and let your imagination flow! We are looking forward to seeing what you come up with!
The idea of these challenges is to help students improve their skills by drawing, painting and creating regularly.
So try to submit work that you have created specifically for the challenge – or course work you are currently creating for your art course. Sometimes our challenge themes cross over with what students are learning. Our challenges are great practive for your coursework too!
