Welcome to this weekends art challenge where we would like you to try to create a piece of artwork using only one colour. This might sound quite tricky, however it might not be as challenging as you might think. We have added plenty of reference photo ideas for you to get you started below.
One of the easiest ways of going about this, would be to choose sepia brown colour like an old fashioned photo. Alternatively you could choose a range of greens and draw or paint a frog on a leaf. You could also choose to create a grey colour on white paper for polar bears. Or white coloured pencil on black paper for penguins! The more you think outside the box on this one, the easier it will become.

The idea of these challenges is to help students improve their skills by drawing, painting and creating regularly.
So try to submit work that you have created specifically for the challenge – or course work you are currently creating for your art course. Sometimes our challenge themes cross over with what students are learning. Our challenges are great practive for your coursework too!
