Some wonderful pieces of artwork from London Art College student Rebecca Smith who is studying the Illustrating Children’s Book Diploma Course. Rebecca has completed her first set and wrote the following to tutor Maggy Roberts which she submitted her work, which you can read below.
I generally hope to achieve better understanding of how to create professional artwork for a children’s book and improve my illustration style. I recently took an interest in illustrating when reading to my young son. I am intrigued by the range of styles and interpretations of literature in children’s stories and the different media used. I hope to explore them and develop my own style and maybe one day create a book for my son, even if its just for him.
