I have been doing art since I was 16 years old and it always made me happy, I never studied art, I just copied the drawing from the pictures I liked from the newspapers or from forwarded messages. I came to the UK after my marriage and I saw the art in the art galleries, I was very fascinated by old masters’ art and always thought about learning art. I did some local art classes and attended local art workshops. Then I improved a little in art and one fine day one of my art was being exhibited in a local cafe which got sold, that one sale gave me motivation to learn more.
I came across a magazine called Painters Online and saw an advert above London Art College, I did some google and decided to learn the basics of art. So, I enrolled in a Drawing and Painting Diploma course. I must say this course has helped a lot to improve my basics in drawing, tutor Paul Weaver is an amazing art tutor. His guidance has helped me to understand every bit of this course. If I see my old paintings and compare them with the current ones, I can easily see the difference. I can now also understand what was wrong with my old paintings, no correct tonal value, no correct perspective, no correct technique, everything was basically wrong. I never did sketches before any drawing, but this course has explained me that why sketches are so important before starting any drawing. The whole course is full of knowledge and I had fun learning this course.
I am really very thankful to London Art College and tutor Paul Weaver for giving me more confidence in the world of drawing and painting. I would surely recommend to anyone who is looking to do something in Art.
