Student Oksana Lupych has created her final set of work for the oil painting course and we have added a selection fo paintings below for our students to view. Oksana has explained a little about her paintings and also a really lovely thank you to you tutor Alan Dedman too…
For the abstract work I use big size of mdf (with acrylic ground) to avoid any deformation and acrylic and water based paints which left from our apartments renovation. )
I have toned a bit the white ground. I have chosen landscape for pallet knife painting – my favourite topic. ) First picture is Alps which I painted based on my own photo (attached also) made there some time ago and inspired me. The second is Ukrainian landscape but with my own colour interpretation of that )). Looks that pallet knife teŅhnics is my favourite in oils. It also has one big benefit compare to brushes – no need a long washing… )))
I want to say sincere thank you very much to Alan Dedman for his time, attention and real help, for his constructive comments and advises. Wish him much and bright inspirations, harmony and strong health for many-many years…
