Welcome to our latest weekend art challenge where we set our students the task of creating artwork on the subject of Soft Toys. The results are fantastic! From well-loved childhood teddies to colourful plush animals, each piece captures the charm and personality and love of these treasured toys.
A special mention goes to Alicia, whose amazing coloured pencil drawing really stands out to us this week. She not only created a beautiful piece of art but also helped save the life of a little mouse soft toy, bringing him back to life! Read the story below!
Well done to everyone who took part. We hope our students artwork inspires you to pick up your pencils and brushes. Give it a go yourself!
We hope that everyone enjoyed this challenge. Stay tuned for a new Weekend Art Challenge posted here tomorrow.
I found this mouse soft toy abandoned last February on the sidewalk – he was muddy and icy, and whoever had him before had been very mean to him. They had torn off one of his arms, burned off his whiskers, and chipped his red plastic nose. But after a good washing in the laundromat, and a visit to the sewing repair shop (for some serious restuffing), he has a good home here with me! AliciaThere were two plush owls. Then our puppy got hold of one of them. This is the other one. Image was drawn with a fine liner pen. Color was added with Tombow Brush Pen Markers, which were diluted with water on a palette and added with a watercolor brush. LinnMy Winnie the Pooh soft toy with watercolour and white pen.
