We are delighted to showcase the artwork by Craig Soutar, who has successfully completed the Painting and Drawing Diploma Course with tutor Heather Jolliffe. Craig’s dedication and effort throughout the course has been excellent, and his artwork showcased below reflects his progress.
Our favourite is his study of hands which we feel are wonderfully expressive, with thoughtful shading in the background that enhances the play of light across the fingers.
We wish him every success with his future drawings and paintings. His tutor, Heather, shared her thoughts on his work, his progress and skills. Congratulations, Craig!
This is work by Craig Soutar who has just completed the Drawing and Painting course. I was really struck by the freedom he has applied to the non traditional drawing tools section and how well he has shown the various items used to draw with next to the drawings themselves. Precise, confident, fresh. The remainder of his work just continues that approach or vein of working, as he has applied himself wholeheartedly to each different piece of drawing.
