Welcome to this weekend’s art challenge! In this challenge, we would like you to study the Lemon as a subject. It is very much an overlooked and unassuming fruit to paint or draw, however it is perfect in many ways. Its vibrant and colourful, it has wonderful textures, you can cut it open to reveal more textures inside, and it is a superb shape to get your teeth into drawing. Let your imagination run wild with this one and celebrate the lemon!
The idea of these challenges is to help students improve their skills by drawing, painting and creating regularly.
So try to submit work that you have created specifically for the challenge – or course work you are currently creating for your art course. Sometimes our challenge themes cross over with what students are learning. Our challenges are great practive for your coursework too!
