Weekend Art Challenge – Musical Instruments

In this Weekend Art Challenge, we would love our students to explore the subject of musical instruments. If you play a musical instrument, or someone in your family does… ask them if you can paint or draw it.

If you don’t have access, we have added plenty of photos and ideas below for you. You might like to go towards the classical route choosing to depict a violin, clarinet or flute perhaps. On the other hand you might be a secret rock fan and would love to play electric guitar or bash out noise on a drum set. These will definitely be your choice for your artwork.

Choose any medium and any size to create your artwork. it could be a quick 10 minute sketch, or a large loose watercolour with splashes and vibrancy to portray the sounds of music as well as the instruments.

Whatever you fancy drawing or painting, enjoy and have fun and we look forward to seeing them next week!

The idea of these challenges is to help students improve their skills by drawing, painting and creating regularly.

So try to submit work that you have created specifically for the challenge – or course work you are currently creating for your art course. Sometimes our challenge themes cross over with what students are learning. Our challenges are great practive for your coursework too!
