Weekend Art Challenge Results – Reflections

Welcome to the reveal of our latest weekend art challenge focused on the theme of “Reflections”. We have received so many lovely and varying ideas on this theme. We found it interesting how students have come up with completely different and unique ideas to convey ‘reflections’ in both paint, pencil and pen and ink. We are absolutely delighted with everyone’s results and we hope you enjoy viewing them all below.

We have another weekend art challenge tomorrow. We would love to see your results, don’t forget to email them to us for inclusion, we accept artwork up to Thursday of the following week. Plenty of time to experiment!

It’s a photo of my dog Mia, and the reflection shows her dream world!! You’ll have to forgive the masking fluid, as when I took it off it tore the paper! Luckily I had taken this photo already!!

I used watercolor pencils, black pen and ink and Winsor and Newton colorful inks. And some gesso where I felt I needed correction e.g. the crosshatching of the bird’s belly and first part of water it stood in.
