Welcome to this weekend’s art challenge! In this challenge, we are setting our students the task of creating a painting or coloured pencil drawing only using the colours blue and white. It can be a full range of blues and whites from light to dark and all the variations in between but it must not move away from those colours if possible. From a white vase on a blue background to some blueberries on a willow patter plate. Even the white rabbit who was late…! There should be plenty of ideas to capture your imagination here. We look forward to seeing what you all come up with!
The idea of these challenges is to help students improve their skills by drawing, painting and creating regularly.
So try to submit work that you have created specifically for the challenge – or course work you are currently creating for your art course. Sometimes our challenge themes cross over with what students are learning. Our challenges are great practive for your coursework too!
