Like most others, I was motivated to join the Drawing and Painting Diploma Course during the pandemic when shut away from mundane daily distractions. I have always enjoyed sketching in my childhood and continued drawing on holidays and free time around work but not been able to develop or progress in technique or observation. This systematic course offered this with Paul, who has provided constructive and insightful critique and encouragement.
I have been able to follow and be inspired by the work of artists I have come across in the study for the course and have discovered a renewed passion in capturing observed and felt.
I hope to pursue sketching and watercolours in travelling journal form as I find the medium lends to it well.
