London Art college student Miriam Eisenbacher has submitted her first set of artwork for the Illustrating Children’s Books Diploma Course. We are absolutely delighted to be able to showcase her first set here! We love her little fox and cub wet in wet piece, so adorable and so well designed. We are equally astounded by Miriam’s techniques in her Row your Boat illustration, the reflections in the water from the hares and stag are just superb. The whole composition and feel of the illustration is absolutely captivating.
If you are unaware, our illustrating children’s books diploma course that Miriam is taking, is an online art course that teaches students how to use various mediums, techniques, and subjects related to children’s book illustration.
The course is tutored by Maggy Roberts, a successful illustrator who has worked for many publishers and magazines. The course covers topics such as animals, cartoons, caricatures, imaginative places, lettering, book covers, composition, perspective, textures, colour mixing, developing ideas, and developing your own style.
We wish Miriam the best of luck for the next set of assignments. We hope she enjoys the course and learns a lot from Maggy’s feedback and guidance.
