We would like to you design your own take on Nordic Folk Art. There are so many amazing examples online and we have added some below for inspiration for you. We hope that you find this an interesting challenge and the designs and illustrations below inspiring!
Challenge Guidelines:
- Research Nordic Folk Art: Begin by delving into the history, motifs, and symbolism associated with Nordic Folk Art. Familiarize yourself with traditional patterns, such as rosettes, birds, flowers, dragons, trolls, and other mythical creatures.
- Choose your medium: You can work with any art form, such as painting, drawing or digital art.
- Storytelling through imagery: Use your artwork to tell a captivating story inspired by Nordic folklore. It could be a tale of gods and goddesses, legendary creatures, or everyday life in a mythical Nordic village. Focus on creating a strong visual narrative that immerses the viewer in this magical world.
- Embrace traditional motifs: Incorporate traditional Nordic Folk Art motifs and patterns into your artwork. Experiment with symmetrical designs, repetitive elements, and bold colors. Feel free to add your own artistic twist while maintaining the essence of the style.
