I am Nyangoma Borg and I have a passion for art. I joined the Digital Illustration Diploma Art Course to broaden my knowledge in art and I had wanted to expand to digital art. With this course I learned a lot with my wonderful teacher, Monique Bailey, she helped me get out of my comfort zone and create art that I would have never even thought of creating. I have now grown to love vector art, which before this course, I had never really thought of doing.
One thing that this art course has helped me with is to find my art style. I learned that I really loved drawing things with flowers or a lot of nature incorporated into my art as I have a love for nature, especially Lilly flowers, which you will see a lot in my art pieces, because of the colours that nature bring as nature to me is very colourful and filled with peace and joy, I felt that it brought a sense of clamminess to my thoughts and art pieces.
I learned that I didn’t have to make everything so perfect, that some imperfections make the art piece complete, this helped me get out my comfort zone and I have now found a new love for digital art. Digital art is now something I love to do and is a cheaper alternative to creating classical art (pen and paper).
