I was unsure if I would learn anything new doing the Digital Illustration Diploma Course since I had previous experience with digital illustration. I was pleasantly surprised! I have been using a different program since I started drawing digitally, and I was hesitant to try a new program that I was unfamiliar with. Coming out of my comfort zone and making a real effort to learn the new programs was very rewarding! It was interesting to discover programs that would be useful for creating my drawings differently.
Even though my art was alright before I started this course, learning new techniques and getting helpful feedback from Monique really enabled my art to develop in ways it might not have been without this course! Learning how to improve my shading and lighting and increase the layering in my drawings has made them more three-dimensional. My art has definitely evolved to a higher standard from what I have learnt in this course.
