Welcome to our Colour Challenge. This month the challenge is to paint or draw anything with two shades of green and everything else green in between! Sounds easy?
We understand that there can be other minor colours within the artwork, for instance in the avocado photo below, there is a little brown in there, however the challenge is to try to stay as close to the challenge colours as possible. So for instance with the avocado, the brows could be a very dark green with a hint of brown in the mix instead.
You can draw or paint any subject, as long as it sticks to greens. We thought this might enable students to create some lovely landscapes of hills and trees covering the paper or canvas, purely using greens. What a lovely limited pallet. Whether it be realistic, abstract, digital or traditional media – the choice is yours.
Let us know your ideas and thoughts behind your artwork and we look forward to seeing them all soon! Most of all have fun!
For those who are new to our challenges, we post them every Friday, so that students have a chance to pick up their pencils, pens, brushes or tablets to create artwork in their downtime over the weekend.
The results are the posted here on our blog on the following Thursday.
We love it when students add text to go along side the artwork, we will always post it on the blog if included.
