Welcome to this weeks art challenge! A lot of creativity is required for this one! We would like for you to create an abstract self portrait. Whther you take a selfie first and work from that or draw or paint form life in the mirror, the choice is yours.
You can dress up if you wish and make it fun, you can wear hats, feather boas or even wear a crown! Make it as fun or silly, or as serious as you would like. In any medium at any size.
The photo below was altered using a few simple filters in photoshop just to give you an idea of what can be done digital.
Have fun, let us know in your description how you got on and what methods you used. If you feel brave and would like us to post your original photo with your abstract work of art, please do include it too and we will include it very small in the corner of the abstract image.

The idea of these challenges is to help students improve their skills by drawing, painting and creating regularly. Most of all, have fun!!
For those who are new to our challenges, we post them every Friday, so that students have a chance to pick up their pencils, pens, brushes or tablets to create artwork in their downtime over the weekend.
The results are the posted here on our blog on the following Thursday.
We love it when students add text to go along side the artwork, we will always post it on the blog if included.
