Laura-Inès contacted the college from the National Portrait Gallery regarding their photography competition, the National Portrait Gallery’s annual Taylor Wessing Photographic Portrait Prize 2021.
Open to all, this leading international competition celebrates and promotes the very best in contemporary portrait photography, helping shine a light on up-and-coming photographers, as well as seasoned professionals. Whilst last year’s exhibition took place online, this year it will be taking place at the new arts hub, Cromwell Place, London, from the 10th of November 2021 – 2nd January 2022, whilst the National Portrait Gallery is closed until 2023 for major redevelopment works.
This would be an incredible opportunity for students and alumni to work on creating a series of personal works and to potentially be exhibited in a highly respected portrait photography exhibition, as well as having work featured heavily in national and international press, on our website and social media.
Entry for the competition is now open and applications will be accepted until 17:00 8th June 2021.
For full information about the exhibition, past exhibitions/winners, the cash prizes and how to enter (including the £20 entry fee, entry forms, rules) please see here on our website: npg.org.uk/photoprize
