Tutor Heather Jolliffe has alerted us to a new exhibition for artists of all ages and abilities whilst we are all in lockdown. Its called The Great Big Art Exhibition which has been helped get started by artist Antony Gormley. He has encouraged artists to portray animals as the theme for the first two weeks.
You can draw, paint or sculpt …in fact you can use any medium you wish! Once completed place it in your window so that people can see it, take a photo and enter it into the competition. You can find all of the details at the firstsite website.
Every two weeks there will be a new theme suggested on the Firstsite website. Let us know what you choose to create and send us photos of your artwork in your windows. We will add them to our blog! Best of Luck!
For those who are new to our challenges, we post them every Friday, so that students have a chance to pick up their pencils, pens, brushes or tablets to create artwork in their downtime over the weekend.
The results are the posted here on our blog on the following Thursday.
We love it when students add text to go along side the artwork, we will always post it on the blog if included.
