Almost two years ago I started with my diploma course Botanical Painting. Flowers and plants have been always part of my interest and I even did draw them a lot. So, discovering the online course was for me a gift to develop my skills and discover the fantastic world behind the botanical art in watercolour technique. All my spare time I dedicated to this lovely challenge and I got really involved with this way of looking and painting!
Working on this scale (I always do my art pieces less than two times its real size) needs a very precise way of working, a lot of focus and patience…. Polly did a good work giving me sharp feedbacks so I could reach to the best level possible for me.
It feels sad to have finished the course, I will miss the challenge, but I am sure I will continue and develop my work. I am absolutely addicted now. I receive a lot of positive reactions about my paintings so I would like to prepare a nice portfolio of my artwork. It would be so great to get the opportunity to exhibit and/or sell my work!
I feel honoured to share my work with you. All the flowers or fruit are from our own garden. The Passiflora caerulea, Geranium ‘Sabani Blue’, Ficus carica and Punicum granatum are my last assignment, but I also like a lot my Magnolia stellate ‘Rosea’ which did halfway the course. This tree gives me every springtime a waterfall of flowers, so she earned to be painted!
