Welcome to our latest weekend art challenge results! We set our students the task of painting or drawing giraffes this week and we have received some amazing artwork yet again. Students have had a busy time with their art material!
Our featured image today is by cartooning student Sarah Egerton. Sarah said… “I am actually on the cartooning course but am always dabbling in watercolours – presenting my weekend art challenge – a bit rough but I like it.” We love it Sarah, beautiful!
We also want to mention a couple of other students as their comments are very noteworthy. We are hearing that students are really pleased that we provide these challenges, which allows them to practice subjects and topics they wouldn’t normally choose to do. This helps to develop students skills as an artist.
Hu Zette, pencil drawing below, has created a wonderful Giraffe study. We love the way he has varied the diamond pattern on the Giraffe. Hu Zette said. “I always feel glad because of the study in LAC and your work make me calm down and brave”
Similarly Suzanne Prytherch commented. “Having completed my Botanical Coloured Pencils course, I don’t want to put the pencils away… but instead challenge myself to try new things. Hence my first attempt at drawing a giraffe! Thanks LAC for these Weekend Challenges”
We are thrilled to hear students feedback and we will continue the challenges for as long as possible! In fact another one is on its way tomorrow…
