Student John Irvine has created some amazing drawings on the Coloured Pencil Course recently. We particularly like the first drawing below, the cup and spoon drawing.
The pattern on the cup is absolutely wonderful. The intensity of the colour in the flowers is superb. One area we would like to draw our readers attention to is the light hitting the cup on the handle. It is reflecting onto the mug itself and if you notice fades the very edge of the flower. This really helps to add life to the drawing, realism and three dimensional form. It is such an important area and a very advanced piece of drawing.
