Student Janet Hoyland submitted these beautiful pieces for one of her Life Drawing and Painting study units. We particularly like the first colour study below. It captures the model really well and there is a lot of movement and flow in Janets pencil strokes. It feels very three dimensional, her weight of line is excellent and we particularly like the way Janet has allowed the top of the models head to be much lighter in tone – being in the full light. This compliments the face and shoulders which are in much more shadow. A beautiful and well thought out study. We hope you enjoy viewing Janets work!
