It is so important to keep a sketchbook, whether it’s to note down colours and doodles or to take out with you to draw objects you find on your travels or landscapes. It is kind of like a picture diary for your adventures. Even if you don’t go too far each day, I’m sure students could find something interesting to draw or paint. Ann’s watercolour studies are beautiful and they really describe each scene in a short space of time working on them. It also really helps students when painting final pieces, like Ann has below!
