These two studies, broccoli and hydrangea, are two of four coloured pencil drawings for my final assessment for the Botanical Coloured Pencil Diploma. I used Faber-Castell Polychromos coloured pencils, blending different coloured pencils to acquire the required colours and tones, and also used a Derwent Blender in parts. All studies are completed on Fabriano Classico 5, 50% cotton watercolour paper, 140lb. This course has certainly improved my observation and appreciation of botanical art.
