Hello Everyone,
My name is Robert McGowan and I am the creator of snipegrass-cartoons.com. I did a cartooning diploma course from London Art College with tutor John Byrne circa 2011-2013. I found the course very helpful as I have always doodled and loved cartoons since I was a child in Bristol back in the 70s (I am 46)and I have always had a love for it.
I once tried to be a cartoonist here in Ireland back in the 90s but a lack of skill/knowledge/formal education etc. made this attempt ill-fated, so much so, that I got this course to force myself to do it again (the recession crashed my odd job business)and even then I was well into my 2 year deadline before I tackled it.
I found this course excellent as there is no nonsense or over-embellishment and it is full of real need-to-know information, if i had this in the 90s I would not have been Labouring these last 2 decades.
